About the event
Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious relaxation, also known as "yogic sleep." It is a guided meditation practice that helps bring the body into a deep state of relaxation while keeping the mind aware and alert. The practice involves lying down in a comfortable position, usually in Savasana (corpse pose), and following instructions from a teacher to relax progressively through the body and mind.
During Yoga Nidra, the practitioner goes through different stages:
Setting an intention (Sankalpa) - a positive affirmation or personal goal.
Body scan - directing attention to different parts of the body to promote relaxation.
Breath awareness - focusing on the breath to calm the nervous system.
Visualization - imagining soothing or healing images to deepen relaxation.
